Paradigmes épistémologiques et choix méthodologiques en science de gestion : Revue de littérature

Abstract

La définition du positionnement épistémologique est une étape fondamentale pour tout chercheur en sciences de gestion. Elle lui permet de mener correctement et valablement son travail de recherche. Le choix épistémologique permet aux chercheurs de légitimer leurs choix méthodologiques et donner de la scientificité et de la crédibilité à leurs travaux de recherche. Le chercheur dispose de la responsabilité de choisir et de justifier le positionnement épistémologique adopté à son objet de recherche de manière à convaincre que son positionnement lui permet de construire des connaissances valides Wacheux (1996). Au niveau de la littérature, il existe une panoplie de paradigmes épistémologiques auxquels les chercheurs peuvent se référer. Une question majeure se pose pour l’ensemble des chercheurs en science de gestion : Quel est le paradigme épistémologique le plus adapté à leurs objets de recherche ? et qu’elles sont ses implications méthodologiques ? L’intérêt de notre article est d’apporter un éclairage aux chercheurs en science de gestion, de manière à présenter d’une façon synthétique l’ensemble des paradigmes épistémologiques adoptés en science de gestion à savoir : le post positivisme, le constructivisme et l’interprétativisme, ainsi que les spécificités de chacun.
