Abstract

The article reflects the long-term security situation of traditional format document collections, focusing in particular on the solution offered by digitization. The author refers to the main stages of the Digitization Equipment Improvement Project implemented in the National Library of the Republic of Moldova, and supported by the Government of Japan via Japan International Cooperation Agency.
