Star clusters are interesting laboratories for studies related to star formation, stellar and binary evolution, and stellar dynamics. It is necessary to determine cluster membership and global cluster properties including age, metallicity and extinction for all such studies. Making use of the accurate astrometric solutions in Gaia’s eDR3 release we have developed a novel method to determine membership probability of Galactic open clusters. We have applied this technique to open clusters which are relatively rich with stars (N>500). Our method works well for clusters located in both sparse and crowded environments. Once membership is ascertained, we use the Bayesian parameter estimation code emcee to determine cluster properties such as age, metallicity, and extinction. Because of our Bayesian approach our estimates not only include the fiducial property values, but also the detailed posterior distributions and correlations. In this poster, we illustrate our procedure in detail for NGC-2287 as an example and summarise the properties of all analysed clusters.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
