Análisis factorial exploratorio y confirmatorio de la Escala de Intervención Docente Orientada a Promover la Metacognición en el Aula (EIDOPMA)

Abstract

RESUMEN Aunque desde hace más de medio siglo existe mucha teoría e interés sobre la metacognición, son pocos los instrumentos disponibles para evaluar su promoción en las aulas de clases. El presente estudio tiene el propósito de analizar la validez de constructo y la fiabilidad de la Escala de Intervención Docente Orientada a Promover la Metacognición en el Aula (EIDOPMA), diseñada por Romo Sabugal et al. (2020). Para ello se aplicó el instrumento en 131 docentes de secundaria de establecimientos públicos de la ciudad de Cuenca, Ecuador. Se realizó un análisis factorial exploratorio y un análisis factorial confirmatorio con los métodos de máxima verosimilitud y mínimos cuadrados no ponderados, así como una evaluación de la fiabilidad del instrumento. Los resultados ratifican las dimensiones planteadas por los autores de la escala en la población ecuatoriana (GFI=0.985; CFI=0,862; NFI=0,751 y 0,982), así como presentaron una fiabilidad muy buena (α de Cronbach= 0,958; ω de McDonald=0,959). En tal virtud, se recomienda la aplicación del constructo en la población docente con el ánimo de generar insumos que permitan evaluar las destrezas docentes para promover pensamientos de alto nivel entre los estudiantes de educación secundaria.
