EVALUACIÓN CLÍNICA ASOCIADA A PRINCIPALES HEMOPARÁSITOS EN BOVINOS DEL MUNICIPIOLIBERTADOR, ESTADO MONAGAS

Abstract

Las hemoparasitosis bovinas constituyen una seria limitación para el desarrollo de la ganadería ubicada en países tropicales y subtropicales, causando anemia,pérdida de peso, abortos, disminución de la producción de leche y carne, trastornos reproductivos y efectos negativos en la productividad. El propósito del presente trabajo fue evaluar el estatus sanitario asociado con el diagnóstico de Anaplasma marginale y Trypanosoma spp., en unidades de producción bovina ubicadas en el municipio Libertador, del estado Monagas. Para ello, se realizó un muestreo aleatorio en 10 fincas, evaluándose clínicamente 216 animales, mediante la toma de temperatura corporal y examen físico sistematizado. Posteriormente, las muestras sanguíneas fueron sometidas a exámenes hematológicos rutinarios, y analizadas a través del empleo de técnicas parasitológicas directas, mediante frotis sanguíneos teñidos. Se obtuvo la prevalencia en cada una de las hemoparasitosis, se detectó 10,75% para A. marginale y 1,69% de infección activa para Trypanosoma spp. Los análisis estadísticos no reflejaron diferencias significativas (p>0,05), entre los parámetros clínicos: temperatura corporal, hematocrito y proteínas séricas totales, con respecto a la detección de los agentes infecciosos. Se corroboró la condición de estabilidad enzoótica en A. marginale y el carácter epizoótico para Trypanosoma spp, en la población bovina evaluada.
