Produtividade Total dos Fatores nas Lavouras de Grãos Brasileiras: Análise de Fronteira Estocástica e Índices de Malmquist

Abstract

O objetivo deste trabalho é utilizar as técnicas de Análise de Fronteira Estocástica para se estimar crescimento ou decrescimento de ineficiências no tempo, assim como a Análise por Envoltória de Dados para se calcular índices de Malmquist e se analisar as fontes de alterações da PTF na agricultura brasileira. A partir dos dados obtidos do LSPA (Levantamento Sistemático da Produção Agrícola) do IBGE (Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística), teve-se como foco deste estudo indicadores relacionados com as as principais lavouras de grãos brasileiros – arroz, feijão, milho, soja e trigo – durante o período 2001- 2006. Os resultados indicam que, embora tenha havido alterações positivas na PTF para as lavouras da amostra, houve declínio no componente referente às inovações tecnológicas para todas as principais lavouras de grãos brasileiras entre os anos 2005/2006 – período em que se observa queda na utilização de insumos na agricultura.
