De la multiculturalidad a la perspectiva de género en clave intercultural: Retos para la inclusión y equidad social

Abstract

La equidad de género ha sido una de las grandes preocupaciones para diversas disciplinas sociales; incluye la dignificación de la condición femenina, así como su inserción dentro de los diversos espacios de acción social. En atención a lo anterior, el artículo, desarrollado bajo el método hermenéutico-documental, tiene como objetivo analizar el género, entendido como un constructo social, que establece diferenciaciones entre los seres humanos, determinadas por particularidades que son propias e inherentes a su identidad. Así mismo, explora el concepto de multiculturalidad, que hace un llamado al reconocimiento de la diversidad existente, instando al respeto y tolerancia de los diferentes actores. No obstante, en la actualidad, las interpretaciones teóricas ofrecidas por el pensamiento decolonial, consideran que la perspectiva multicultural es insuficiente para abordar las problemáticas y diferenciaciones culturales, por lo que propone trascender hacia el enfoque de la interculturalidad crítica, que es una perspectiva antisistémica y antihegemónica, que tiende a la construcción de relaciones dialógicas, que no parten de la igualdad, sino de la diferencia. En otras palabras, reconoce lo que define y diferencia a la mujer, a las culturas, a las luchas y trayectorias históricas que han tenido que atravesar para llegar al reconocimiento de sus derechos e inserción dentro de la sociedad. No se trata del simple hecho de reconocer o tolerar al otro, sino de establecer relaciones desde las tensiones y rupturas epistémicas, ontológicas y políticas producidas en la realidad circundante.
