This poster presents an overview of the data analysis performed on the dataset collected between the years 2006 and 2019 at the ENT department of Radboud university medical center Nijmegen (Radboudumc) in the scope of an exploratory analysis on the relation between fitting parameters and phoneme recognition scores in quiet in the adult CI population. This analysis was run in the context of the MOSAICS European Industrial Doctorate project, as a collaboration between Radboudumc and Cochlear. The final objective of this project is to better understand hurdles that limit CI performance and develop clinical strategies to overcome them. The goal of the study was to provide an insight into possible causal relations between fitting parameters and speech recognition performance, to be potentially followed up in order to ascertain whether interventions on the fitting parameters might help CI recipients achieve better speech recognition outcomes.
