Abstract

Este estudo fora desenvolvido com base em materiais de teóricos que contribuíram veementemente, trazendo consigo as bagagens de teorias que incursionaram e cambiaram de formas grandiosas os modelos de educação e de ensino/aprendizagem trazidos com a EAD. Nesse sentido, o estudo traz como problema: as dificuldades dos discentes ao usar a metodologia EaD no ensino superior, o artigo resgata o contexto histórico, as políticas públicas que regulamentam tal modalidade, o avanço dos métodos de educação à distância e os direcionamentos que devem ser alterados para que a EAD avance com eficiência, favorecendo de fato o fator do processo de construção de conhecimento. Utilizou-se Pesquisa bibliográfica, assim foi elencado artigos com sólidas bases teóricas acerca do tema. Concluiu-se que a educação à distância está em pleno desenvolvimento e crescimento, e isto não parará por aí, que os discentes e docentes ainda encontram muitas dificuldades com a transição da educação presencial para a EAD, e que os docentes e tutores são fundamentais nesta fase, pois, estes são os mediadores no processo de construção de conhecimento.
