IMPORTÂNCIA DOS EXERCÍCIOS AERÓBICOS NO SISTEMA CARDIORRESPIRATÓRIO DO IDOSO: UMA REVISÃO SISTEMÁTICA

Abstract

OBJETIVO: Analisar os benefícios da realização de atividades físicas aeróbicas no sistema cardiorrespiratório no corpo de um idoso. METÓDOS: Foram incluídos artigos clínicos randomizados que mostram a eficiência dos exercícios aeróbicos no sistema cardiorrespiratório, na base de dados LILACS e por meio das plataformas digitais PEDro e PubMed, utilizando os descritores em inglês: aerobic exercise, cardiorespiratory system e OR. RESULTADOS: Foram encontrados 1063 artigos, onde 5 artigos corresponderam ao critério de elegibilidade para a análise e discussão. CONCLUSÃO: Foi evidenciado que no sistema cardiovascular acontecem alterações fisiológicas de melhora, especialmente no colágeno do coração e dos vasos sanguíneos do idoso quando há a prática de exercícios dinâmicos, de predominância aeróbica e de baixo impacto nas estruturas musculares, esqueléticas e articulares, no qual, geram mais saúde e causam uma maior aptidão física.
