Conognatha (Pithiscus) lebasii Mannerheim 1837

Authors: Pineda, Cristian;

Conognatha (Pithiscus) lebasii Mannerheim 1837

Abstract

Stigmodera lebasii Mannerheim, 1837:35. [Figure 7–9] Lectotype: “http://id.luomus.fi/GAC.24386 COLOMBIA Sta Fé di Bogota Dejean leg. // St. Fé di Bogota. // Dejean. // ♂ // Mus. Zool. H:fors Spec. typ. No 15173 Stigmodera lebasii Mannh. // LECTOTYPE Stigmodera lebasii Det. Mannerheim G.H.Nelson // Photographed 2021 Pekka Malinen // Mus. Zool. Helsinki Loan No. C 10065 // Mus. Zool. Helsinki Loan Nr. C 02 - 294”. Current status: Conognatha (Pithiscus) lebasii Mannerheim, 1837 (Moore & Lander 2010). Comments: S. lebasii was originally described by Mannerheim (1837), who assigned the authorship of this species to Dejean, but it actually belongs to Mannerheim (1837), who wrote the description. It was described from a specimen sent to C. G. von Mannerheim by M. Le Comte Dejean, which was collected in “ Nova Granada; ad Sta. Fé di Bogota.” by M. Lebas, to whom the species was dedicated. The lectotype housed at the MZHF is labelled as “ St. Fé di Bogota ” (Dejean leg.).
