Species of the nigrohirtus group The nigrohirtus group contains the following five species: Sphex ahasverus, S. camerunicus, S. incomptus, S. nigrohirtus and S. pulawskii sp. nov. Members are characterized through posteriorly-oriented erect propodeal setae, which they share with the species of the bohemanni group (Fig. 1). Distinguishing features between both are covered in the introduction to that group.
