Digitala is a Moodle plugin for assessing L2 Finnish and Swedish speech automatically. Students' speech performances are sent from the plugin to an evaluation API designed and built by Aalto University. Digitala-plugin is a part of the DigiTala research project and is constructed by Bachelor level Computer Science students during spring 2022 in the University of Helsinki. This document is the basic user roles manual for using Digitala. It describes the behaviour of the Digitala Moodle activity in admin, teacher and student roles. The UI pictures and descriptions follow Moodle version 3.11, so a few features in newer Moodle are slightly different, e.g. the action wheel is a navigation bar and the description field of the activity will show on course page default.
