MANIFESTATIONS BUCCO-DENTAIRES DU REFLUX GASTRO-OESOPHAGIEN

Abstract

Introduction : Le reflux gastro-oesophagien (RGO) est une pathologie benigne mais vu sa chronicite et ses complications a long terme, il predispose a des lesions precancereuses et altere la qualite de vie des malades. Le reflux peut atteindre la cavite buccale et affecter les dents et la muqueuse buccale. Les erosions dentaires representent le principal risque buccal du RGO. Lobjectif de notre travail est devaluer la presence et la severite des manifestations bucco-dentaires chez des patients atteints de RGO. Materiels et methodes : Dans le cadre dune etude prospective, 30 sujets atteints de la maladie de RGO, et 30 patients sont indemnes consultant au sein du service de Gastro-Enterologie de lHôpital Militaire Mohammed V de Rabat, ont ete examines pour evaluer leur etat bucco-dentaire. Ces patients ont ete examines en se basant sur un questionnaire. Chaque sujet a ete interroge sur son statut sociodemographique, le questionnaire inclut egalement des questions permettant de savoir des renseignements concernant la maladie du reflux gastro-œsophagien et de determiner les habitudes dhygiene bucco-dentaire. Un examen dentaire a permis devaluer la presence ou non des usures dentaires et des lesions muqueuses, et de mesurer le pH-salivaire. Resultats : Dapres notre etude, les resultats montrent quil y a une association significative entre les patients suivi pour RGO et la presence des erosions dentaires (p<0,001). Elle a montre aussi que la gravite de lerosion dentaire, est liee a plusieurs facteurs tels que : la presence de RGO pathologique et la presence de complications de RGO. Conclusion : Il apparait que tout sujet atteint de la maladie de RGO peut avoir des erosions dentaires.
