The Modern Data Stack has revolutionized analytics and enabled thousands of companies to leverage the cloud to more effectively manage their data assets and to develop analytic solutions. While incredible progress has been made, we are still in the developmental stage of data platforms and it is clear that there are requirements, particularly for data governance, that are insufficiently addressed by today’s Modern Data platforms. Recent advances in relational algorithms promise to breakthrough these limitations, enabling the next generation data platform based on Knowledge Graphs. This talk will discuss the current state of the Modern Data Stack, explore some of the customer challenges with existing products, and describe a potential solution based on Knowledge Graphs.
