În perspectiva istoriei, este limpede că Alexandru Marghiloman şi-a legat numele de primul dintre cele trei acte ale Marii Uniri din 1918: Basarabia realizată la 27 martie, urmată de Bucovina la 28 noiembrie şi Transilvania în ziua de 1 decembrie. Liderii politici români ndash; de la Iaşi, Bucureşti şi Chişinău ndash; nu s-au lăsat copleşiţi sub presiunea acestor dificultăţi uriaşe, ci au reuşit în anul 1918 să găsească soluţiile şi modalităţile concrete de a domina situaţia şi a promova interesele fundamentale ale poporului român. În acest context complicat Alexandru Marghiloman a intrat în prim-planul vieţii politice din România şi nu numai.

From the perspective of history, it is clear that Alexandru Marghiloman linked his name to the first of the three acts of the Great Union of 1918: Bessarabia on March 27, followed by Bukovina on November 28 and Transylvania on December 1. The Romanian political leaders ndash; from Iasi, Bucharest and Chisinau ndash; were not overwhelmed by the pressure of these huge difficulties, but managed in 1918 to find solutions and concrete ways to dominate the situation and promote the fundamental interests of the Romanian people. In this complicated context, Alexandru Marghiloman came to the forefront of political life in Romania and beyond.
