În 1924, cu prilejul împlinirii vârstei de 70 de ani şi a aniversării Unirii Basarabiei cu România, Alexandru Marghilomn a fost sărbătorit de rude, prieteni şi apropiaţi în Bucureşti, la Athene Palace, prilej cu care a rostit emoţionantul discurs bdquo;Aniversarea Unirii Basarabiei,rdquo; fiind onorat cu o medalie jubilară şi un volum omagial.
