Infrared Spectra of Chalkones Derived from Hydroxychloro-acetophenones

IR spectra or some chalkones derived from 3-chloro-2-hydroxy-, 3-chloro-4-hydroxy-, and 5-chloto-2-hydroxy-acetophononcs hive been studied and some interesting generalisations on structure-spectra correlation with regard to carbonyl and ethylenic absorption have been made.
