Sichere hohe Angaben ausneuerer Zeit sind: Oberrothorn, 3140m, und Gornergrat, 3105 m, bei Zermatt (Braun-Blanquet 1919). Tiefe Stellen: Gondo, um 860 m (vgl. Cat.); Soussillon, 1000 m (Marietan); herabgeschwemmt bis 480 m bei Vetroz (Beauverd 1896 und 1897).
