Abstract

Presentamos el Libro de Actas del VIII Congreso de Comunicación Social de la Ciencia (CCSC2021), celebrado en Barcelona del 29 de septiembre al 1 de octubre de 2021. Este evento reúne cada dos años a centenares de comunicadoras y comunicadores de la ciencia para reflexionar acerca de la evolución y tendencias de la profesión, el impacto de nuestro trabajo y las líneas de compromiso con la sociedad, la ética y las ganas de hacer las cosas cada vez mejor. Por vez primera en la historia del congreso (que dio comienzo en 1999), el CCCS21 se celebró en formato híbrido: presencial y online. Pero la verdadera proeza no fue este doble formato, sino hacer frente a la incertidumbre que, debida a la Covid-19, imperó en los 18 meses previos a su celebración. Por ello, nuestro primer reconocimiento es para las personas que participaron con sus ponencias, así como para los miembros de los comités científico y organizador, quienes tuvieron que hacer acopio de creatividad e incluso sentido del humor para adaptarse a los continuos cambios en las medidas sanitarias de aquellos meses. Afortunadamente, el esfuerzo valió la pena y finalmente conseguimos un congreso con contenidos de excelente calidad y una participación muy numerosa. En concreto, 333 personas: 154 en CosmoCaixa Barcelona, el máximo presencial permitido por la cuestión sanitaria, y 179 online.
