Distribution:— Myanmar, Thailand and southwestern China. Note:— Cypripedium crawshayiae was named after the sister of Mr. Charlesworth and presumably wife of Mr. D.B. Crawshay. It was misspelled ‘crawshawae’ in Engler’s Pflanzenreich, but the spelling was corrected in the index. Some varieties have been named. Reported from Kayin State and Tanintharyi Region by Kress et al. (2003: 84), but we have not seen material from these areas. Distribution:— Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina and southwestern and southern China. Note:— Several proposed varieties have been published. Paphiopedilum dixlerianum Braem & Chiron, Richardiana 1: 138, 2001. Type:— MYANMAR. Without locality: 650 m, 1997, imp. van Holle s.n. (holotype: SEL) Specimen examined:— WITHOUT LOCALITY. Type. Distribution:— Endemic. Note:— Originally described as a distinct species similar to P.sukhakulii Schoser & Senghas. It was later interpreted as possibly being a natural hybrid between P. callosum and P. sukhakulii (O. Gruss, pers. comm.).
