Leptacis pauliani Risbec, 1957: 329, figs 4a–e. Current status. Synopeas pauliani Syntypes 3 ♀♀, Île de la Réunion, Rempart de Bélouve (MNHN); syntype ♀, Île de la Réunion, Rempart de Bélouve (lost). Labels. Leptacis pauliani / Risbec/ Rempart de Bélouve/ La Reunion R. P. [syntypes 3 ♀♀]. Remarks. The three syntypes are mounted on a microscope slide. One is dissected into many small pieces in the residue of an oily liquid under a cover slip. The other two are dry-mounted under a second cover slip, one whole, the other slightly crushed with its head broken off but still present. Both cover slips are ringed with a soft, clear resin. A further syntype female mentioned by Risbec was not found but may be at the MRAC. This species was transferred to Synopeas by Masner (1960). This species was omitted from Vlug’s (1995) catalogue.
