Abstract

Se sistematizan un conjunto de pautas para el mejoramiento de la presencia de la biblioteca de la Facultad de Comunicación (FCOM) de la Universidad de La Habana en la red social Facebook. Se exponen las principales bases teóricas relativas a las Bibliotecas Universitarias y su participación en la red social Facebook. Se caracteriza la presencia de la biblioteca FCOM en la red social. Se identifican buenas prácticas en Facebook por parte de bibliotecas universitarias seleccionadas mediante un enfoque de benchmarking. Para concluir se proponen una serie de pautas que norman el quehacer de la biblioteca de FCOM en Facebook para mejorar su presencia y participación. La investigación tiene un carácter descriptivo y utiliza el análisis documental, la entrevista y la metodología de Benchmarking para llegar a resultados.
