Abstract

The phenomenon of the Other woman in connection with culture is not new. It has been cultivated for many centuries, solving the problem of the Other and often not at all feminine, but the opposite to it. Women's problems gain special urgency in fiction and then in journalism, when the question of dramatic position of women in society and in everyday life attracts attention of the entire community. Although the first sprouts of feminization of European culture began to appear about 150 – 200 years before, when the science and education were still considered the privilege of men and the problem of femininity itself was not considered as «liberation» in a sociocultural context. The discourse of emancipation of women began to form only in the conditions of political and economic transformations in the 19th century, but finally it was determined only during the 20th century with the rapid development of scientific and humanitarian knowledge.
