APLICAÇÃO DA TOMOGRAFIA COMPUTADORIZADA DE FEIXE CÔNICO NO PLANEJAMENTO VIRTUAL E CIRURGIA GUIADA EM IMPLANTODONTIA ORAL - UM RELATO DE CASO

Abstract

The objective of this monograph was to present directly the applicability and facilities that cone beam computed tomography offers in the virtual planning and preparation of a surgical guide for the solution of a clinical case of implantology. Important technological advances such as cone beam computed tomography and rapid prototyping have led to the emergence of computer-assisted surgery. Through specific software it is possible to "build" all the anatomical structures of a patient and in this way it is possible to virtually plan his surgery. The literature review included case reports and systematic reviews related to the human species. Through the review, we found that the cone beam computed tomography is a reliable tool in the planning and surgical execution of the installation of dental implants provided that the margins of error are observed. This work describes a case of surgery in the anterior region of the maxilla using Guided Surgery using the software (freeware) BlueSkyPlan. This technique allowed to achieve an excellent result, reduced surgical time, minimal injuries that are usually caused to the gingival tissues and ideal 3D positioning of the implants. We concluded that the technique is efficient and reproducible, possible to be used in the implantodontist's daily routine. O objetivo desta monografia foi apresentar de forma direta as aplicabilidades e facilidades que a Tomografia Computadorizada de Feixe Cônico oferece no planejamento virtual e confecção de guia cirúrgico para solução de um caso clínico de Implantodontia. Avanços tecnológicos importantes como a tomografia computadorizada de feixe cônico e a prototipagem rápida proporcionaram o surgimento da cirurgia assistida por computador. Por meio de software específico é possível “reconstruir” todas as estruturas anatômicas de um paciente e desta forma pode-se, virtualmente, planejar sua cirurgia. Na revisão de literatura foram incluídos relatos de casos e revisões sistemáticas relacionados à espécie humana. Através da revisão, observamos que a tomografia computadorizada de feixe cônico é uma ferramenta confiável no planejamento e execução cirúrgica da instalação de implantes dentários desde que observadas as margens de erro que apresentam. Neste trabalho é descrito um caso de cirurgia em região anterior de maxila por meio de Cirurgia Guiada utilizando o software (freeware) BlueSkyPlan. Tal técnica permitiu alcançar um ótimo resultado, tempo cirúrgico reduzido, mínimas injúrias que são habitualmente causadas aos tecidos gengivais e ideal posicionamento 3D dos implantes. Concluímos que a técnica é eficiente e reprodutível, possível de ser utilizada no dia a dia do implantodontista.
