Ayya Vaikundar taught "Akilattirattu Ammaanai" to the suppressed people in the southern most Tamil Nadu. The manuscripts of this text have been spread everywhere when Ayyavazhi spread all over Tamilnadu and some other places apart from Tamilnadu. Though many printed books are available on the basis of manuscripts, there are no critical editions. There is a need to make a critical edition for "Akilattirattu Ammanai". It will help us see an original version without copying errors and textual variations. It will also help us understand and reconstruct the transmission history of "Akilattirattu Ammanai". By this transmission history, we can reconstruct the educational qualification history of particular people who were suppressed by the Travancore Government.
