Indicadores de salud de la población gestante: Sala Materna Ejido Mérida - Venezuela, periodo 2019 - 2020

Abstract

La caracterización poblacional es un proceso determinado por variables intrínsecas, sociales, políticas y económicas de su comportamiento como sistema complejo específico, por tanto el objetivo del estudio fue crear indicadores de salud que caractericen la población materna del municipio Campo Elías del estado Mérida- Venezuela, durante el periodo 2019-2020. Se realizó una investigación cuantitativa, de tipo descriptivo e interpretativo, con un proceso de planificación y organización de parámetros y variables, mediante el método estadístico No Paramétrico, analizando las historias clínicas de 1408 gestantes atendidas en la Sala Materna del municipio Campo Elías. Se consideraron las variables: edad, nivel educativo, nivel socio económico, datos georefenciales de habitación, tipo de parto, sexo, peso y talla del neonato. Los resultados muestran que la edad promedio de las gestantes fue de 20 y 30 años, con un predominio de amas de casa, el nivel educativo de la mayoría es de media diversificada, la mayor distribución geográfica poblacional estuvo en las parroquias del municipio Campo Elías, en la Parroquia Matriz y los municipios Libertador y Sucre. El parto fisiológico fue predominante, hubo igual proporción de género de los neonatos, con peso y talla de 2.700 kg a 3,500 kg y 47cm respectivamente; más un incremento del 2% de mujeres gestantes. En conclusión, el análisis de las variables permitió caracterizar sistemáticamente la población materna atendida en este municipio, destacándose la capacidad y la atención de calidad que proporciona la institución, lo cual permite establecer indicadores y monitoreo de la eficacia del servicio asistencial a las gestantes.
