Synthesis of Some Substituted Pyrazoles as Possible Antibacterial Agents

Some pyrazole derivatives of the type II-VI were synthesised from 4-(3', 5'-Dimethyl-1'-pyrazolyl) benzhydrazide (I) and tested against S aureus and E. coli. Only type III-compounds completely inhibited the growth of S. aureus at the concentrations employed.
