Department of Chemistry, Malaviya Regional Engineering College, Jaipur. Manuscript received 26 November 1974; revised 12 May 1975; accepted 15 July 1975 Cu(II), Hg(II) and Ag(I) complexes of Ethane-1,2-dithiol have been studied in 25% ethanol by employing potentiometric, conductometric and amperometric titration techniques. Whereas 1 : 1 complex is formed with Cu(II) and Hg(II), Ag(I) shows the formation of 2 : 1 complex. Equilibrium constants and solubility products of these complexes have been evaluated by Ringbom's method at 25°, 35° and 45°. The changes in the thermodynamic parameters ∆G, ∆H and ∆S, accompanying complexation reactions have also been reported.
