A New Synthesis of Ψ- Baptigenin

Abstract

Department of Chemistry, Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur, Kathmandu, Nepal Manuscript received 11 June 1974; revised 28 September 1974; accepted 11 December 1974 A new synthesis of Ψ-baptigenin was effected by acylation of piperidine enamine of homopiperonal with 2,4-diacetoxybenzoyl chloride followed by cyclization.
