Genetic rickets is a term used for definition of wide range of diseases caused by genetic changes with symptoms similar to nutritional vitamin D deficient rickets. The etiology and pathogenesis somehow is different as genetic rickets can develop despite adequate intake of vitamin D and normal sun exposure.
