This report (Deliverable D2.9), building on the specific collaboration experienced by IRPI and Crime&tech in the COESO and DATACROS projects (and in related initiatives) aims at an in depth discussion of the legal and technical aspects of collaborations that involve sharing personal and sensitive data, in light of paving the way for future partnerships between researchers and investigative journalists, especially in the field of investigation of (potentially) criminal behavior, improving transparency and preventing inequality and illicit activities.
