This conceptual short paper examines the process of theoretical development by presenting the work that an informal network of researchers is doing to conceptualise transition through an information lens. The paper’s focus on the collaborative process extends the traditional individual researcher narratives of conceptual work including tacit and often taken for granted processes of theoretical development.
