Alkaloids of Alstonia boulindaensis Boiteau

Cle'ment, 92290 Chatenay—Malabry, France Institut de Chimie des Substances Naturelles du C.N.R.S. 91. Gif sur Yvette. France From the aerial parts of Alstonia boulindaensis Boiteau eleven alkaloids were isolated and identified. Eight of them are new : four possess a vincamajine skeleton, one is a sarpagine derivative, and three other compounds contain the new "indolinolid" chromophore 12.
