Chemistry Department, Himachal Pradesh University, Simla-171 005, (India) Chemistry Department, Panjab University, Chandigarh Manuscript received 15 June 1977, accepted 23 March 1978 Conductance measurements on cesium halides, rubidium nitrate and rubidium iodide in diethyleneglycol (DEG) and aqueous diethyleneglycol (aq. DEG, 20% by weight) have been carried out at 25. Experimental data have been analysed for limiting equivalent.conductances at in8nite dilution, o, and Walden products, oo, on the basis of Onsager's equation and Owen's method. Walden products, mobilities and solvation numbers of the single ions in these solutions have been estimated. Results have been further discussed in terms of the ion-solvent interaction.
