Pathogen genomics data sharing: public health meets research

Abstract

Pathogen genome sequencing has become a key tool in the world's response to infectious disease. For both research and public health communities, the sharing of pathogen sequence data will be key to making the fullest use of the tool. With this piece, we intend to inform the discussion around pathogen genomics data sharing and the principles under which sharing occurs.
