Artifact OOPSLA22 - Purity of an ST Monad - Full Abstraction by Semantically Typed Back-Translation

Abstract

Getting Started Guide Download and install the latest version of VirtualBox 6.1.30 r148432. Note: Instead of using the Virtual Appliance, you can also download and compile the Coq code yourself (see last section). Download the virtual appliance. Import the appliance you just downloaded into VirtualBox (File > Import Appliance...) Firing up the appliance (based on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS), you'll find the pre-compiled Coq development inside the /home/user/artifact directory (shortcut on desktop). Coqide is also installed (shortcut on desktop), a GUI to interact with the Coq code. The automatically logged on user is named user; it has a password password in case you'd want to e.g. install additional software. You can recompile the proofs themselves by running make clean (cleaning up the compiled files) and make inside of the /home/user/artifact directory. Step by Step Instructions Step by step instructions to verify the results as claimed in the paper can be found in the /home/user/artifact folder, in a README.md file which contains a lot of clickable links to the different files in the development. The first section of said file goes over all the definitions (and in which files to find them) one needs to look at (together with their location in the paper) to verify that the main claim of our paper. In the third section of said file, a complete overview of the directory structure is given in which we explicitly state where all the different subresults from the paper can be found. Download and Compile Coq code Yourself Alternatively, one can download the Coq development only. It's also mirrored at github (commit hash: e14aa7f421de94df5c1369d2b4b44d8644243cec). Instructions to install the required libraries and compile the Coq code can be found in the file called README.md.
