Testudo pardalis babcocki Loveridge 1935:4 Holotype: MCZ 40003 (Barbour & Loveridge 1946:202); paratypes (27 according to the original description, 13 in the MCZ and 14 in the BMNH), FMNH 73482 (Marx 1958:451); and MCZ 7990, 18156-58, 18160, 30001-02, 31984-85, and 40004-05 (Barbour & Loveridge 1946:202). The BMNH catalogue lists no paratypes.
