Vom Begriff ��ber das Ph��nomen zur Analyse - Ein CRETA-Workshop zur Operationalisierung in den DH

Abstract

Der Workshop stellt eine weiterentwickelte und personell anders besetzte Version eines auf der DHd 2020 abgehaltenen Workshops dar. Er adressiert mit dem Konzept und der Praxis der Operationalisierung eine der zentralen Herausforderungen f��r Arbeiten in den DH. W��hrend Geisteswissenschaftler*innen vor allem mit komplexen, h��ufig mehrere Textph��nomene umfassenden Konzepten arbeiten, ist die computergest��tzte Arbeit an identifizierbare Ph��nomene auf der Textoberfl��che gebunden. Die hieraus erwachsende Diskrepanz zwischen theoretischen Erwartungen und konkreten Ergebnissen gilt es ��ber eine ad��quate Operationalisierung, also die Erkennung und Messbarmachung theoretischer Konzepte, zu ��berbr��cken. Der Workshop will diese Schnittstelle in den Fokus r��cken. Anhand ausgew��hlter Anwendungsf��lle soll gezeigt werden, welche Herausforderungen sich aus dem Einsatz computergest��tzter Methoden f��r geisteswissenschaftliche Fragestellungen ergeben und wie mit ihnen umgegangen werden kann. In einem praktischen Teil haben die Teilnehmenden die M��glichkeit, an der Operationalisierung vorgegebener exemplarischer Fragestellungen der Textanalyse und der f��r sie relevanten Konzepte zu arbeiten. Ein Beitrag zur 8. Tagung des Verbands "Digital Humanities im deutschsprachigen Raum" - DHd 2022 Kulturen des digitalen Ged��chtnisses.
