Abstract

Wir pl��dieren f��r einen interdisziplin��ren Austausch, um die Transkriptionspraxis weiterzuentwickeln, sodass sie den Anforderungen verschiedener Disziplinen gerecht wird. Dazu gehen wir auf die Geschichte der Transkription als Technik ein und ��bertragen kulturelle sowie technische Aspekte auf digitale Methoden. Ein besonderes Augenmerk liegt auf Standards, die bei der maschinellen Verarbeitung essenziell sind und die Konventionen der analogen Transkription weiterf��hren. Wie eine Transkription automatisiert werden kann und welche Herausforderungen dabei bestehen, wird umrissen und es werden konkrete Empfehlungen ausgesprochen, wie sowohl bei manueller als auch bei automatischer Transkription Nachnutzbarkeit, Genauigkeit und Konsistenz sichergestellt werden k��nnen. Dabei betonen wir die Wertsch��tzung der Transkriptionsarbeit und wollen eine interdisziplin��re Diskussion um Konventionen und Standards ansto��en. Ein Beitrag zur 8. Tagung des Verbands "Digital Humanities im deutschsprachigen Raum" - DHd 2022 Kulturen des digitalen Ged��chtnisses.
