Abstract

"Ontologien und andere Wissensrepr��sentationen sind in den Digital Humanities allgegenw��rtig, sie werden in der Regel in zwei getrennten Arbeitsschritten entwickelt: Zuerst findet die konzeptuelle Entwicklung statt, bei der der Untersuchungsgegenstand durch geisteswissenschaftliche Reflexion analysiert wird, danach erfolgt die informatische Implementation. Diese Aufteilung f��hrt oft zu Reibungsverlusten, Fehlern und erh��htem Arbeitsaufwand. W��nschenswert w��re ein Modell, das konzeptuelle Entwicklung und informatische Implementation integriert. In diesem Beitrag wird ein vielversprechender Kandidat f��r ein solches integriertes Modell vorgestellt: Ontology Logs (ologs). Ologs basieren auf mathematischer Kategorientheorie und unterst��tzen die gedankliche Ausarbeitung einerseits und gew��hrleisten die unkomplizierte Implementation als Datenschemata andererseits. Des Weiteren erlauben ologs die Modellierung von Differenzen und ��quivalenzen zwischen unterschiedlichen Perspektiven und erleichtern die Ontologieentwicklung durch rules of good practice." Ein Beitrag zur 8. Tagung des Verbands "Digital Humanities im deutschsprachigen Raum" - DHd 2022 Kulturen des digitalen Ged��chtnisses.
