Abstract

Chemistry Division, Biology Division, IDPL Research Centre, Indian Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Limited, Hyderabad-500 037 Manuscript received 29 October 1984, accepted 11 September 1985 Some methyl 4-[2-alkylthio-4(3H)-quinazolon-3-yl]phenyl acetates and phenyl-α-methyl acetates (4-7, Table 1) have been synthesised and evaluated for their phar­macological activities. Some of the compounds showed moderate antiinflammatory activity.
