Abstract

Tyrictaca postcristata (Hampson 1892) “ Ceratocorema postcristatum, n. sp. ” — Hampson 1892: 200, fig 128. Type locality: “Berhampore, Ganjam (Minchin); Poona.” [= India: West Bengal, Berhampore; Maharashtra, Pune]. Syntypes 2 ♂♂ (BMNH). Literature. Hampson 1919: 115 (Tinthia postcristata); Dalla Torre & Strand 1925: 183 (Tinthia postcristatum); Gaede 1933: 798 (Tinthia postcristata); Heppner & Duckworth 1981: 21 (Tinthia postcristata); Pühringer & Kallies 2004: 7 (Ceratocorema postcristatum); Kallies 2020: 11, 12 (Tyrictaca postcristata); Arita et al. 2021: 9, 59, figs 29a–c (Ceratocorema postcristatum); Pühringer & Kallies 2021 (Tyrictaca postcristatum). Flight period. One syntype label has the collection date “March” (Arita et al. 2021: 59, fig. 28b). There are no other data on flight period. Host plant. Unknown. Distribution. It is known from two localities in India. Remarks. The female is unknown and the male genitalia have not yet been investigated.
