Abstract

O presente artigo �� sobre a meliponicultura e como ela se encaixa na educa����o ambiental (EA), apresentando pontos te��ricos sobre os dois temas e pontos de intersec����o entre ambos para ajudar a compreender a pr��tica educacional utilizando a tem��tica da cria����o de abelhas sem ferr��o. O objetivo principal �� mostrar como a meliponicultura se encaixa na EA, partindo dos objetivos perif��ricos que s��o: apresentar os principais conceitos da EA, analisar a cria����o de abelhas sem ferr��o e sua import��ncia �� natureza e fazer a converg��ncia das tem��ticas para o processo de ensino. O artigo foi constru��do por meio de revis��o bibliogr��fica com leituras explorat��rias para a descri����o dos fatos encontrados em trabalhos cient��ficos sobre EA, meliponicultura e ensino. A principal justificativa para a escolha do assunto foi a necessidade de fortalecer bibliograficamente pesquisas nesta ��rea. Os resultados colhidos foram: a EA �� de fundamental import��ncia para todos os n��veis de ensino tanto que foi promulgada, no Brasil, uma lei espec��fica para ela em 1999; a EA pode se utilizar de temas ambientais, que servem como temas geradores, para que, em cima de um deles, construir todo o processo de ensino com conte��do, metodologia ��� m��todos e t��cnicas ��� e avalia����o; e, a meliponicultura �� um ��timo tema ambiental, pois, podem ser desenvolvidas aulas na esfera te��rica e na pr��tica, estaque ali��s oferece pouco risco e �� bem atrativa para grande parte dos alunos. Conclui-se que a meliponicultura �� um assunto que precisa cada vez mais espa��o na EA. Palavras-Chaves: Ensino, Meio Ambiente, Abelhas sem ferr��o.
