Abstract

var. striatula Emery. Zool. Jahr. Syst. v. 8. p. 300. 1895. [[worker]]. Die Runzeln des Kopfes sind mehr der Länge nach gerichtet als beim Typus, am Thorax ist das Promesonotum glänzend, sonst fein längsgestreift, die Epinotumzähne auffallend lang, dornartig, schief nach oben gerichtet. - L. 2,7-3 mm. [[queen]]. Der Kopf in der Mitte regelmäßig längsgerunzelt, das Mesonotum etwas glänzend und regelmäßig längsgestreift, die Epinotumzähne lang, dornartig. - L. 3,5 mm. Italien. *) Als besondere Unterart beschreibt Ruzsky: S. westwoodi asiaticum Ruzsky, Formicar. Imp. Ross. p. 711. 1905. [[worker]] (nach Ruzsky). Der Kopf soll (wenn ich die Beschreibung gut verstanden habe) mehr matt und mehr längsgestreckt sein als bei westwoodi. Nach den angegebenen Merkmalen kaum als Varietät zu unterscheiden. - L. 3 mm. Turkestan.
