Cypripedium Calceolus L.

Abstract

Cypripedium Calcéolus L., Frauenschuh Stengel 15-50 cm hoch. Blätter 2-4, oval, 6-12 cm lang, mit der größten Breite (etwa 1/2 der Länge) in der Mitte, stengelumfassend, hellgrün, am Rande und auf den Nerven fein behaart. Blütenstand meist 1-, selten 2-3 blütig; Perigonblätter breit lanzettlich oder vom Grunde an verschmälert, bis 5 cm lang, braunrot, abstehend; die beiden seitlichen äußern Perigonblätter auf etwa 4 /5 der Länge verwachsen und abwärts gerichtet; Lippe 3-4 cm lang, 2,5-3 cm breit, einem Schuh oder Pantoffel ähnlich, gelb. - Blüte: Später Frühling und früher Sommer. Zytologische Angaben. 2n = 20: Material aus Polen (Skalinska et al. 1957). 2n - 22: Material aus dem Gardaseegebiet (Francini 1931), aus Lunz in Österreich (Diannelidis 1948). Standort. Kollin und montan, selten subalpin. Kalkreiche, lockere Böden. Lichte Laubmischwälder und Nadelwälder, Gebüsch, meist in geschützter oder sonniger Lage. Verbreitung. Eurasiatische Pflanze: In Europa nordwärts bis 70° NB (fehlt auf Island), fehlt in der immergrünen Region des Mediterrangebiets; in Asien zwischen 45 und 60° NB. In Nordamerika nahe verwandte Sippen. Verbreitungskarten von Hultén (1958) und Meusel (1964). - Im Gebiet verbreitet, nicht häufig bis selten, vielerorts ± ausgerottet.
