Isotomiella amazonica, originally described from Manaus (Amazonas), Brazilian North region, was found in the sand dunes of “Restinga de Maricá” along with I. symetrimucronata Najt & Thibaud, 1987 and Isotomiella barrana sp. nov. here described. Later, those species were found in the “Restinga da Marambaia” in Allagoptera arenaria (Arecaceae) leaf cover. The specimens examined agree with the original description of Oliveira & Deharveng (1990).
