Polypedilum tsukubaense (Sasa) (Fig. 37) Polypedilum (Polypedilum) tsukubaense (Sasa, 1979: 17, Figs. 27–28) (as Microtendipes). [Holotype A8: 01.] Sasa (1983: 12–13, Fig. 7 H–N). Polypedilum (Polypedilum) chubetuabeum Sasa et Suzuki, 2001a: 2, Fig. 1 a–h. [Holotype 404: 050.] Syn. nov. Sasa (1983) transferred Microtendipes tsukubaense Sasa to the genus Polypedilum Kieffer. The superior volsella of P. (P.) tsukubaense bears two long setae on medial margin and a long subapical seta on the lateral margin. P. (P.) chubetuabeum shares these characters with P. tsukubaense (Fig. 37) and is considered to be a junior synonym.
