Abstract

Epichlorops puncticollis (Zetterstedt) (Figs. 10–18) Oscinis puncticollis Zetterstedt, 1848: 2636. Type locality: SWEDEN: Gotland, Gudhem. Epichlorops puncticollis: Becker 1912: 28; Sabrosky 1941: 742; Sabrosky 1965: 791; Andersson 1966: 70; Andersson 1977: 145; Kanmiya 1983: 292; Wheeler 1994: 407. Diagnosis. Head slightly longer than high in profile. Frons nearly as wide as long, projecting only slightly in front of eye. Ocellar triangle dark brown, narrowing evenly to anterior margin of frons, anterior apex ending in a broad obtuse tip. 3rd antennal segment brown. Thorax slightly broader than head. Scutum black except for yellow lateral margins and covered with fine black setulae on small tubercles. Scutellum yellow. Abdomen completely brown dorsally except for posterior margin yellow, setulae on tergum 5 pale. Male genitalia: epandrium with pale setulae; surstylus with posterior region short hook-like and curved forward; hypandrium relatively narrow in lateral view. Material examined. 1 male, CHINA: Xinjiang, Aletai, Beitun, 21. VII. 2007, Shan Huo; 5 males 2 females, CHINA: Xinjiang, Aletai, Hemu, 22. VII. 2007, Shan Huo; 1 male, CHINA: Xinjiang, Aletai, Hemu, 24. VII. 2007, Shan Huo. Distribution.
