Anion-exchange Extraction of Yttrium(III) and Neodymium(III) from Succinate Solution

Abstract

Department of Analytical Chemistry, Institute of Science, Bombay-400 032 Manuscript received 5 June 1986, accepted 9 March 1987 Selective separation of NdIII and YIII from LaIII, ThIV, UVI, DyIII and ScIII is achieved by extraction from sodium succinate solution using Aliquat 336 as an extractant. The probable extracted species is \([R_4N^+M(C_4H_4O_2)_2^-\). The results of separation of various synthetic mixtures are reported.

Keywords

Nuclear technology, Succinate Solution, Anion-exchange Extraction
